The Community Hall Project

An ambitious goal: a hall of our own in DFW — a centerpiece for entertainment, community, and cultural events for generations.

Why a hall

Most of the fund is raised through member contributions — and strengthened by the quiet generosity of community supporters, many giving anonymously and without fanfare. Every celebration, meeting, and cultural event we host today rents someone else's roof. The hall changes that.

Tax-deductible. As a 501(c)(3), LAFABA provides receipts for every donation — cash or material goods — made in support of the Community Hall Project.

Where we stand

2026 — Needs assessment: members surveyed on how a community center would be used — meetings, cultural events, children's programs and rentals — to guide planning and funding decisions.

Next — A site and funding plan presented to the General Assembly, built on the survey results and the building fund.

Ongoing — Member contributions and community supporters keep the building fund growing; every gift is receipted.
